Katy Perry (Singer), Age, Biography, Affairs, Height, Net worth, Family, Awards, Career & More

Katy Perry, born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California, began singing in church due to her religious upbringing. At 15, she pursued music in Nashville and released a Christian album under her birth name, but it failed commercially. She later moved to Los Angeles, struggled with record deals, and eventually signed with Capitol Music Group.

Her breakthrough came in 2008 with the hit “I Kissed a Girl” from her album One of the Boys. Her follow-up album, Teenage Dream, featured major hits like “California Gurls” and “Firework”, cementing her status as a global pop star. In 2012, she released the documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me.

She later launched her own label, Metamorphosis Music, signing artist Ferras, with whom she also recorded a duet. They toured together across North America in 2014.
